Terms and Conditions.

Ordering.
During all consultations for bespoke wedding cake orders, you will be given an order form to sign, this gives approval for the agreed design for your wedding cake. After the consultation when the booking deposit has been paid, you will be sent an invoice, which clearly shows the amount of deposit paid and the date the full balance is due.

Deposits.
All booking deposits are non-refundable. Booking deposits for wedding cake orders of less than £800 are £200, for cakes over £800 a 30% deposit is required. Should you wish to book your date but have a design consultation later on, a holding deposit of £100 can be paid. Holding deposits are non refundable.

Payment of Balance.
Cleared payment of the remaining balance is due one month before the date of the Wedding, without exception. For non payment of balance, Cake Design by Joanna Clarke reserves the right to cancel the order.

Cancelled Orders.
Any Cake orders cancelled within one month of the date of delivery may remain payable in part, or in full at the discretion of Cake Design by Joanna Clarke. This is because a portion of the diary will be blocked out for each client to ensure perfection of each cake ordered and would be very hard to rebook at short notice.

Delivery.
All cakes will be delivered by Joanna Clarke unless otherwise agreed with the client, full details of Insurances are available on request. The first hour of delivery from Cake Design by Joanna Clarke is complimentary, after that delivery is charged at £40 per hour.

Venue.
Once a Wedding Cake has been delivered to a venue and set up, the responsibility for the cake is with the venue, no liability will be taken after this point.

Cake Stands.
Cake Design by Joanna Clarke has a selection of stands to choose from, these stands can be used by the client but must be returned within two days after the event to the Design Studio, in good condition, or full payment for the stand will be required.

Allergens.
A full list of allergens will be provided to each venue on request. Cake Design by Joanna Clarke uses nuts, eggs, alcohol, gluten and all cakes are made in this environment. Although dairy free, nut free and gluten free cakes are available on request, please note that these products will be made in the Design Studio, whilst adhering to Environmental Health guidance on cross contamination of allergens, not in a separate kitchen.

Alterations to Design.
Any alterations to design will be accepted up to six weeks prior to the delivery date, any changes to design could incur extra costs.
